HUNTING

Las Palomas Hunting Lodge : (April-Dec)

Since its debut in the spring of 2001, Las Palomas Hunting Lodge brought an unprecedented level of excellence in accomodation and service to South America´s new mecca for high volume dove hunting.

Our elegantly appointed lodge with Spanish tile roof and hand-painted ceramic tiles offers accomodations for a maximum of twelve guests in air-conditioned double bedrooms with full en suite bathrooms.

Our highly trained chef provides the finest in Continental and local cuisine. Our lounge offers shooters a relaxing atmosphere in which to reminisce about the day's hunt over cocktails, while our 12 person jacuzzi spa provides a comforting end to an exhilarating day in the field. An onsite gun room is offered where guest's guns will be stored and cleaned on a daily basis at no additional charge. Other recreational opportunites include a full sporting clays range and an authentic South American cockfighting ring.

Located in the heart of the Gran Chaco where over 500,000 hectares of cultivated cropland and thousands of hectares of brush provide an ideal nesting habitat for doves and pigeons, Las Palomas has been designed to satisfy the expectations of the most discriminating wingshooter.

It is estimated that 15 million birds arrive in Bolivia in April and stay until November for the prime sorghum, sun flower and soybean harvest. These birds migrate north from Argentina and Brazil and adopt this territory as their winter home. This migration, along with the deluxe Las Palomas Hunting Lodge, offers a wingshooting experience unlike any other in South America.
